Baker/Kitchen Prep Cook

The position is open ONLY to candidate who are able to work in Canada at the time they apply (Canadian citizenship, working permit in hand).

We offer to our customers ( three stores in Vancouver) a selection of house made products, elaborated from scratch, such as : Bakery and pastries items, but as well, soup of the day, onion soup, quiches, chicken turnovers, salads, sandwiches...

Under the supervision of the manager, you are baking croissants, and preparing our savouries /lunch items.

We are looking for candidate who will show the following skills and qualifications:

• You can start you shift at 4am (location : 628 east kent avenue south, Vancouver
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety requirements
• In-depth knowledge of safe food storage guidelines
• Ability to use kitchen utensils safely
• Ability to take direction and work as a team player
• Knowledge of some specific cooking processes such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, boiling water, or preheating pans and ovens

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
