Baker/Pastry

Saya Brasserie is a vibrant brunch café in Downtown San Diego looking for a talented Part-Time Baker/Pastry Chef to join our team. We're searching for someone passionate about creating fresh artisan breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts that will delight our guests.

Responsibilities

• Bake fresh artisan breads for daily brunch service.
• Prepare cakes, pastries, cookies, muffins, and other desserts.
• Assist with developing seasonal baked goods and specials.
• Ensure all products meet our quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery station.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Monitor inventory and communicate ingredient needs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of bakery or pastry experience.
• Experience making artisan breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and reliable.
• Food Handler Card preferred (or willingness to obtain one).

Schedule

• Part-Time (15–25 hours per week)
• Early morning availability required.
• Weekend availability is a must.
• Flexible schedule based on business needs.

Pay

$22.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
