Baker's Assistant

Job Overview

We are looking for an energetic Baker’s Assistant to support our daily production operations. This full-time position works alongside our Pastry Chef to prepare ingredients, execute foundational recipes, and ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

• Assist with dough preparation, cake decorating, and pastry assembly to meet daily production goals
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently
• Package baked goods with care, ensuring presentation and freshness meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols
• Support food handling procedures, including ingredient measurement and recipe adherence
• Contribute to high-volume production processes while maintaining consistency in baked items
• Help with food preparation tasks for catering events or restaurant service as needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience in baking, pastry preparation, or food production is highly desirable
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with dough preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a busy environment
• Excellent attention to detail for recipe adherence and quality control
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately

Pay: $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
