Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of doughs, batters, and fillings for baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies
• Operate kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
• Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, toppings, and other creative embellishments to meet customer specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following food safety protocols and sanitation standards
• Package baked items carefully for retail display or catering orders while ensuring product integrity
• Support high-volume production needs during busy periods by adhering to recipes and production schedules
• Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure quality control and compliance with health regulations

Requirements

• Prior experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation is highly preferred
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of dough preparation techniques
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or assisting customers in retail settings
• Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety management, and sanitation standards
• Experience with cake decorating or pastry arts is a plus but not mandatory
• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience demonstrating culinary competence and high-volume production familiarity
