Bakers – Full-Time

2 Positions Available | Full-Time | Doonside | $65,000–$70,000 + Super

Starlight Bakery is looking for two experienced Bakers to join our production team.

Our bakery produces a wide range of Filipino breads, pastries, cakes and baked goods, including pandesal, Spanish bread and ensaymada.

We’re looking for reliable people who are comfortable working in a busy commercial bakery or kitchen environment and take pride in producing consistent, high-quality food.

About the role

Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing and mixing doughs and other bakery products
• Portioning, shaping and preparing products for proofing
• Baking breads and pastries
• Following recipes and production schedules
• Monitoring product quality and consistency
• Preparing ingredients and maintaining stock
• Maintaining a clean and organised production area
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
• Working closely with the production team to meet daily requirements

About you

We’re looking for applicants who:

• Have at least 2 years’ experience in baking, commercial food production or a professional kitchen
• Are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Have strong attention to quality and consistency
• Are reliable and work well as part of a team
• Understand food safety and kitchen hygiene requirements

Experience with Filipino breads or pastries is welcome but not essential.

Pay

Starting salary: $65,000–$70,000 + super, depending on skills and experience and subject to applicable award entitlements.
