Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for baking by measuring, weighing, and mixing doughs and batters according to recipes
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
• Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, fondant, or other decorative elements to meet customer specifications
• Package baked goods carefully to maintain freshness and presentation for retail or catering orders
• Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly in compliance with food safety standards
• Assist in food production during peak hours to ensure timely delivery of high-quality baked items
• Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold food safety management practices and ensure hygiene standards are met

Requirements

• Previous experience in baking, pastry preparation, or food production is highly preferred
• Strong knife skills for dough shaping and ingredient prep
• Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and pastry arts is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production settings while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or assisting with catering events
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and adhering to food safety regulations
• A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean workspace and supporting team efforts in a fast-paced environment
