Bakery Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and production of bakery items such as bread and pastries.
• Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality and taste
• Operate kitchen equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
• Package finished products for display or delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and fulfilling orders

Experience:

• Previous experience in a food handling or kitchen environment preferred
• Knowledge of baking techniques and cake decorating is a plus
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

Skills:

• Proficient in various aspects of bakery operations, including mixing, baking, and finishing techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
