Bakery Assistant

• Job Description:

Our commercial kitchen is looking for a Part-time, Baking Assistant to join our team in Northbrook, IL. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, and is willing to work both in the kitchen and front of house when needed helping with making Cookie Baskets. Shifts are generally 9am-3 pm 3 to 4 days a week. During busy holiday season 8:30am to 4 pm-5 pm depending on holiday business.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, busy environment.
• Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8+ hours per day).
• Food Handlers Card ( Not Required)

Responsibilities:

• Make and shape dough for baking Cookies.
• Operate bakery equipment such as: oven, mixer.
• Clean equipment after each use or when necessary. Maintain sanitizer levels in the bakery environment. Maintain inventory of ingredients. Follow recipes exactly to prepare dough for baked goods.
• Assist in the packaging of products.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
