Bakery Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support daily bakery operations, assist in food preparation, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties

• Assist in food production and preparation, including mixing, shaping, and decorating baked items
• Support the baking process by operating ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in accordance with food safety standards
• Prepare ingredients and assist with portioning to ensure consistency in products
• Help with stock organisation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed
• Follow all health and safety regulations during food handling and equipment operation
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth workflow and timely service

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food production, cooking, or bakery environments is essential; further training will be provided
• Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards is advantageous
• Experience working in a kitchen advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Enthusiasm for baking with a willingness to learn new techniques
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• Must be over 18

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
