Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support daily bakery operations by preparing baked goods, decorating cakes, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your culinary experience and passion for food production will help us deliver high-quality products that delight our customers.

Duties

• Assist in food preparation including pastry, cake decorating, and baked goods production
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support high-volume baking processes
• Package baked items for sale or catering orders with precision and care
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold food safety standards
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in all baked products
• Support food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations
• Contribute to team efforts in catering events and restaurant service environments

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food production, bakery or pastry preparation preferred
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with cake decorating techniques
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and refrigeration units
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portioning baked goods
• Experience working in high-volume bakery or restaurant settings is a plus
• Culinary experience including cake decorating, pastry prep, or catering is highly desirable
