Duties

• Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including dough preparation, pastry creation, and cake decorating to meet quality standards.
• Package baked items carefully for sale or delivery, ensuring presentation and freshness are maintained.
• Support food handling procedures by adhering to food safety management practices and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
• Contribute to high-volume production processes while following recipes precisely to ensure consistency in baked goods.
• Help with food preparation tasks like measuring ingredients, assembling products, and pastries.
• Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing.
• Weekday availability required, with occasional weekend availability as needed
• Preparing and making our famous apple cider donuts, following established recipes and procedures
• Preparing donut batters, icings, glazes, and other bakery components
• Completing general kitchen and bakery prep work, such as preparing meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients for production
• Accurately following recipes, measurements, and production quantities
• Maintain consistent product quality, appearance, and freshness
• Safely operate bakery equipment, including donut machines, mixers, and ovens, after proper training
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and allergen-handling procedures
• Assist with additional bakery and kitchen production as needed
• Be dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Previous baking or commercial kitchen experience preferred

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food production, or pastry preparation is highly desirable.
• Previous baking or commercial kitchen experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong knife skills and dough preparation techniques are preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency across baked goods.
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing portions effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills to assist with product inquiries or requests when needed.
• Commitment to food safety standards and maintaining a hygienic work environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
