Bakery Assistant/packaging

Dano’s Granola (DG) is a small, woman-owned, local bakery specializing in gluten-free and vegan granola and baked goods. We are growing and looking for motivated and high energy individuals with a passion for healthy food to fill a part-time Bakery Assistant/packaging position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows DG’s proprietary production and packaging methods with precision;
• Effectively utilizes measuring instruments.
• Must be able to work quickly.
• Assists baker with production flow and processes;
• Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of products;
• Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstation;
• Complies with all health and safety guidelines and DG’s policies and procedures. Includes strict adherence to quality, dress code, and personal hygiene; and
• Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.

Skills and Abilities:

• Positive attitude, customer friendly, and enthusiastic about promoting our products;
• Ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require the strength to lift items of moderate to heavy weight (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time;
• Meticulous about applying exact measurements, pays strict attention to timing, and works on a tight, fast-paced production schedule;
• Possesses the discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices; and
• Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently and with minimal supervision.

Other Requirements:

• Applicants must be 17 years of age or older; must be available to 10am-3pm weekdays.
• Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or foodservice environment preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
