Bakery Associate

● Opening and closing the store (alarm, cash drawer, end-of-day count, and reconciling against our POS)
● Receiving the daily delivery from our production kitchen: checking count, temperature and quality, and flagging anything that isn't right before it hits the case.
● The pastry case — rotation, restocking, and making sure it looks as good at 2 p.m. as it did at 7 a.m. Showcase breads and products freshly baked
● Running the shift: assigning positions, covering breaks, keeping the line moving during the morning rush, and handling customer issues on the spot.
● Food safety and cleanliness standards — temperatures, labeling, dates, and everything a surprise inspection would look at.
● Tracking daily waste by product and reporting it — this is what tells our kitchen how much to bake tomorrow.
