Bakery Clerk/ associate

Bakery Clerk

Duties:

• Assist customers in selecting bakery items and provide excellent customer service
• Package and label bakery products for display and sale
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery department
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• minimal operation with bakery equipment
• Stock bakery products and rotate inventory to ensure freshness
• Assist with other facets of the bakery

Qualifications:

• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
• Knowledge of retail math for pricing and weighing products
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Previous experience in a bakery or food service setting is preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and baking techniques is a plus
