Bakery Delivery Driver

A Bakery Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting food, products, and other goods from our production/retail facilities to the correct destination in a timely manner.

• Availability 3AM start and a 3:30AM start til about 11am or 12PM.
• Must have Saturday AM availability No Sunday.
• Duties and Responsibilities
• Following best practices for safety, while on the road, loading or unloading the company vehicle, and navigating through the bakeries
• Checking and/or printing order guides/customer invoices to ensure each location receives correct products
• Communicating with Sales Rep., General Managers, Kitchen Managers, Assistant General Managers, and Managers on Duty to make deliveries
• Meeting delivery deadlines
• Performing daily checks, including proper fluid levels (oil, gas, diesel, etc), cleanliness, and external inspection of company vehicle
• Immediately notify management of maintenance or repairs that are needed on company vehicle
• Loading and unloading food/products/etc
• Tracking shipments and deliveries
• Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed for invoicing purposes

Required Skills/Abilities

• A valid driver's license and personal insurance required
• Safe driving record and history
• Knowledge of how to handle food/product/etc
• Familiarity with using navigation systems and computers
• Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule
• Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving
• Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous food industry or driving experience
Physical Requirements

Ability to move through all parts of the restaurant/bakery quickly.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 per hour

• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Light Truck & Delivery Drivers: 1 year (Preferred)
