A well-established retailer is seeking an experienced Bakery Manager to lead and grow our Chatsworth store. This role is suited to someone who understands that a successful bakery balances people, product, and profit.

You will be responsible for driving sales, profitability, and day-to-day operational excellence within the bakery department. A key part of the role is leading, coaching, and developing the bakery team while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and presentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and motivating bakery teams to consistently deliver strong performance
• Ensuring excellent product quality, availability, and visual merchandising
• Driving sales growth while controlling costs and wastage
• Overseeing stock control, purchasing, FIFO principles, and shrinkage
• Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards
• Building strong working relationships with store management, suppliers, and support teams
• Handling administration including rosters, timesheets, invoices, and team meetings

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ retail management experience
• Solid bakery knowledge is essential
• Strong leadership, organisational, and people management skills
• A hands-on, accountable approach with a passion for quality and customer experience
