Milk Mustache is a growing gourmet cookie company known for handcrafted cookies, ready-to-eat cookie dough, custom cookie cakes, nationwide shipping, and exceptional customer service.

We are seeking an energetic, hands-on Bakery Store Manager to lead our Commissary location and help drive its continued growth. In this role, you will oversee daily store operations, develop the team, drive sales, and ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience. In addition to managing the retail storefront, this position oversees order fulfillment and shipping accuracy and works closely with the Lead Pastry Chef to ensure production supports business demand.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, enjoys developing people, and knows how to keep a store running at a high level. You will work alongside the team while maintaining strong standards for service, product quality, cleanliness, order accuracy, and execution.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee day-to-day store operations and maintain a consistently high standard of execution.

* Direct, coach, and support store employees while reinforcing service, performance, and company standards.

* Create employee schedules, manage shift coverage, and help maintain appropriate staffing for business needs.

* Support hiring by reviewing applicants, conducting interviews, and onboarding new team members.

* Drive store sales through customer engagement, product recommendations, suggestive selling, and established sales goals.

* Under the direction of the GM, execute local marketing initiatives, including cookie drops, sampling, promotions, and outreach to nearby businesses and organizations.

* Maintain appropriate retail product and inventory levels while ensuring product quality and freshness.

* Manage shipping, pickup, delivery, and other customer orders through fulfillment, ensuring orders are accurate, complete, properly packaged, and ready on time.

* Review upcoming order volume and fulfillment deadlines and communicate business needs to the Lead Pastry Chef so production can be planned accordingly.

* Verify order accuracy, product quality, packaging, and presentation before orders leave the bakery.

* Monitor finished-product availability and communicate product needs or shortages to the Lead Pastry Chef.

* Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming storefront and an efficient fulfillment and back-of-house environment.

* Ensure opening, closing, food safety, sanitation, quality-control, and company procedures are consistently followed.

* Address routine customer, fulfillment, and operational concerns, escalating important issues to company leadership when needed.

* Complete required store reporting, checklists, and administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications:

* Previous management or supervisory experience in retail, food service, hospitality, bakery, or a similar customer-facing environment is preferred.

* Strong customer service and communication skills.

* Dependable, organized, and able to take ownership of daily store operations.

* Comfortable coaching employees, providing feedback, and holding team members accountable to expectations.

* Sales-focused and comfortable driving store sales through proactive customer engagement, product recommendations, and suggestive selling.

* Strong attention to detail, particularly with order accuracy, product quality, packaging, and fulfillment.

* Able to manage multiple priorities, orders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

* Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and stay productive throughout the day.

* Comfortable representing Milk Mustache in the local community and interacting with nearby businesses.

* Able to work a flexible schedule based on store and business needs.

* Valid driver's license and ability to complete local marketing drops and other business-related errands as needed.
