Bakery Operative

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food preparation, supporting our bakery in delivering high-quality products to our customers. This role involves assisting in the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and baking of various pies, including handling raw meat (including pork).
• Ensure that all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed meticulously.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bakery areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Helping with deliveries to stockists and home deliveries when needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bakery environment is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations or willingness to obtain health and safety training.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by the bakery's operational needs.
• Availability to cover staff holidays which would include night work and full time hours (Essential).
• Ideally have a full and valid driving license, and be 30 or over for insurance purposes. (Van provided).

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16.0 per week
