Bakery Prep Specialist

Batch 702 Cafe is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen Prep Specialist to join our growing bakery and café team!

Our Kitchen Prep Specialist plays an important role in keeping our kitchen running efficiently and supporting both our café and bakery operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with food, staying busy, keeping things organized, and being part of a close-knit team.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and portion ingredients for daily café and bakery production
• Assist the baker with food preparation and baking tasks as needed
• Prepare fresh sandwiches, salads, soups, and other café menu items
• Follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and food-preparation procedures
• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and prep areas
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and ingredients
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking food and kitchen supplies
• Help maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with daily opening and closing kitchen duties
• Keep prep areas stocked and ready for service
• Work closely with the baker and café team to ensure food is prepared accurately and efficiently
• Jump in wherever needed to help the team during busy periods

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to regularly lift and carry food, kitchen supplies, and equipment
• Ability to bend, reach, squat, and move throughout the kitchen
• Ability to work in a warm kitchen/bakery environment
• Ability to safely use standard kitchen equipment and tools

Schedule

Schedule and hours will vary based on café and bakery production needs. Weekend and early-morning availability may be required.
