Baking Assistant

Dollies Cookies is a growing bakery specialising in large-scale production of handcrafted, American-style cookies. We are looking for an experienced Baking Assistant to join our production team.

We are particularly looking for someone who has previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, bakery or food production environment and understands the standards required when producing food professionally.

This role would suit someone who takes real pride in their work. You should care about getting things right, producing consistently high-quality products, keeping your workspace organised and clean, and contributing positively to the wider team.

Our kitchen can be fast-paced and production-led, so you will need to be comfortable working efficiently, following recipes and processes accurately, and meeting daily production targets without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and mixing cookie doughs accurately to specification
• Weighing and measuring ingredients with precision
• Baking, finishing and decorating products to a consistently high standard
• Operating commercial bakery and kitchen equipment safely
• Working efficiently to daily production schedules and targets
• Packing and preparing wholesale, online and customer orders
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
• Washing equipment, utensils and production areas as required
• Receiving deliveries and assisting with ingredient and stock organisation
• Supporting the wider production team wherever required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous commercial kitchen, bakery or food-production experience is essential
• Someone who takes pride in producing excellent work, even when completing repetitive or high-volume tasks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Clean, organised and proactive
• Comfortable working at pace and on your feet for extended periods
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve

A Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene for Catering certificate is preferred, although training can be provided where required.

This is a full-time role, and some weekend availability will be required. Additional days may occasionally be available during particularly busy production periods.
