Baler / Forklift Operator

Our client is seeking new team menbers to join their team for their peak and busy season that is about to commence. They are seeking people capable of physical manual labour to assist with the recycling process of aluminium products - Role is located in Dandenong South.

About Us

Our client is Victoria's leading ferrous and non-ferrous recycling business. With an aim to extract as much recyclable material as possible from waste to avoid landfill.

Responsibilities

• Working together in a team you will be responsible for palletising bales of pressed recycled aluminium materials for the recycling process. Moving completed pallets out of production area to be loaded into containers for shipment.
• This is a role that requires people capable of continuous manual lifting of 10 - 15kg bales of aluminium. You will get dirty and dusty, but you are rewarded with a competitive pay rate and down time in between the truck drops.
• You will be required to strap and move the completed pallets out of the production shed to the outdoor area to be loaded into the containers for shipment.
• This is a very repetitive and physical role and requires you to work together in a team to clear the loads that are dropped at the site by trucks for the recycling process
• You need to be prepared to get your hands dirty in the process.

About You:

To be successful in the role you must have the following:

• Own vehicle to get to and from work each day
• proven reliability
• Not afraid to get a little dirty
• Ability to work outdoors
• Good time management and ability to work to daily schedules
• Following strict OH&S policies and guidelines
• Ability to wok - Monday - Friday ongoing in a casual role
• capable of repetitive physical labour
• Current and valid forklift licence
• experience operating a counterbalance forklift

In return you will be offered an on-going role in the waste industry. The benefits are on-site parking, early start early finish with occasional overtime available. Hours - - 6am - 2.15pm (with a min of 4 hours on quieter days)
