Baler Operator- Nights

Advance Paper Box is a fully integrated folding carton manufacturing facility including design, die making, printing, die-cutting, and gluing. We are looking for a full-time Baler Operator to join our team

Note: This is a NIGHT 12-hour shift from 7 pm to 7 am on a continental shift.

Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts- 1st week- Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun; 2nd week- Wed, Thurs

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves)
• Pull loaded cages/bins of scrap and replace with empty ones.
• Properly dump cages onto baler.
• Remove bales from baler, band, load, label and bring to shipping area.
• Clean up the work area regularly.
• Separate scrap, box and bale as directed by supervisor.
• Aerate print loads are required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Follow safety rules and regulations.
• Follow department and company policies and procedures.
• May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• At least 18 years or and Minimum Grade 12 education
• At least 1-year experience in manufacturing/production facility
• Previous experience in similar job is an asset
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must be capable of good attendance

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

• Ability to lift, bend, push and pull in performing the functions
• Frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time
• Exposure to moderate noise
