We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Band Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating band saw machine to cut and shape various materials such as Box section, Angle, Pipe,Beam Ect...

will also need forklift exprence to kit the saw kits & load and off load the saw rollers

Your expertise will ensure precise cuts, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate band saw machines to accurately cut materials according to specifications and drawings
• Inspect raw materials and finished cuts for quality, ensuring proper dimensions
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to optimize performance and precision during cutting operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Perform basic math calculations for measurements, angles, and material quantities during setup and production

Experience

• Prior experience operating band saws or similar cutting machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding, grinding, and general mechanical principles
• Familiarity with hand tools, tooling setups, and basic math skills related to measurement and layout
• Understanding of safety procedures related to machine operation and material handling
• Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints is a plus but not mandatory
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout the cutting process

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.5 per week
