About the role

We're looking for caring, reliable people to join our bank team. You'll help create a warm, safe, nurturing home where young people feel listened to and supported to grow.

Every shift is different. One day you might be helping with homework or cooking a meal together, and the next you might be out at an activity in the community or offering calm support through a difficult moment. You'll need patience, flexibility and good judgement to help young people make positive choices.

Experience in care is essential and training will also be provided.

Shifts

This is a bank role, but we'll need you to be available for regular shifts, including sleep-ins and long days.

What you'll do

  • Build trusting relationships and give emotional support, especially when things are hard
  • Encourage young people's ambitions and help them work towards their goals
  • Support their education, including school attendance and homework
  • Keep clear, accurate records and write reports for reviews and meetings
  • Help young people have a say in decisions about their lives, and speak up for them in meetings
  • Plan and join activities that build confidence, friendships and links with the local community
  • Help run the home day to day, including cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping

What we're looking for

  • Aged 21 or over
  • Able to work sleep-in shifts
  • A genuine commitment to working with children and young people
  • A full UK driving licence

We welcome applicants whose right to work allows up to 20 hours per week, and those already sponsored by another employer.

What we offer

  • £70 extra for each sleep-in shift
  • Enhanced DBS check paid for by us
  • Full induction and ongoing training
  • Supportive managers and a team that cares
