We are seeking Bank Customer Service Representatives to join our team. This is customer service position based in various bank branches in the West, Central, East, South Region, offering an excellent opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service within the retail banking sector. In this role, you will be the frontline of our banking operations, ensuring customers receive prompt, professional and courteous support across all their banking needs. This position is fundamental to maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty, and directly contributes to the success of our retail banking operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting customers warmly and professionally, attending to their banking enquiries and processing transactions accurately and efficiently
• Opening new accounts, processing deposits, withdrawals, and transfers whilst maintaining strict compliance with banking regulations
• Assisting customers with balance enquiries, statement requests, card replacements and other routine banking services
• Addressing customer concerns and complaints in a professional manner, resolving issues promptly or escalating to appropriate departments
• Cross-selling bank products and services such as savings accounts, loans, credit cards and insurance products to existing and prospective customers
• Processing loan applications and gathering necessary documentation required for credit assessment
• Maintaining accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions in the bank's systems
• Adhering to banking compliance procedures, anti-money laundering regulations and data protection protocols
• Supporting the branch team in achieving sales targets and maintaining a clean, welcoming branch environment

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in customer service, ideally within banking, financial services or a similar customer-facing role
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex banking products and services clearly to customers
• Excellent numeracy skills and proficiency in handling cash and processing financial transactions accurately
• Knowledge of retail banking operations and familiarity with banking software systems and point-of-sale technology
• A professional appearance and demeanour with a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in all work
• Reliability and punctuality with the ability to work flexible hours, including potential weekend shifts
• Understanding of banking compliance, regulatory requirements and data protection legislation
• Preferably, previous experience in a retail or branch banking environment would be advantageous
