Main Responsibilities:

• working in designated areas as prescribed on a rotating basis and as instructed by the Home or Regional Manager
• vacuuming and cleaning residents' rooms, the corridors and all communal areas within the home to a high standard
• ensuring that the furniture, fittings, including furniture, fabric, and equipment are also cleaned and maintained to a high standard
• being respectful of residents' personal belongings and helping contribute to their upkeep/cleaning (e.g. furniture) and that any objects that are removed for cleaning are replaced in the same position.
• ensuring the residents are safe whilst carrying out cleaning tasks.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to recognise residents' rooms and belongings are personal and private
• To demonstrate safe practice
• Good communication skills
• Maintain a polite and courteous manner towards residents, staff and visitors to the home at all times
• Awareness of health and safety and manual handling
