Bank Teller

Job Summary:

The Rural Bank Cashier is responsible for handling daily cash transactions, ensuring accurate processing of deposits, withdrawals, and payments, and maintaining proper cash balances. The role requires strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and adherence to banking policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and fund transfers.
• Maintain accurate cash balances and reconcile cash at the end of each day.
• Issue official receipts and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
• Assist clients with inquiries regarding accounts, products, and services.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare daily reports and submit to the branch manager or head cashier.
• Safeguard cash and other negotiable instruments against loss or theft.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in banking, cashiering, or related financial services (preferred).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Familiarity with banking systems and basic computer applications
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
