At Kredete, you’ll join a company in motion—ambitious, profitable, fast-moving, and deeply product-driven—where impact is visible, execution matters, and growth is underway. We value ownership, speed, curiosity, operational excellence, and people who thrive in high-accountability environments.

Role Overview

Kredete is seeking a commercially driven Global Banking Partnerships Manager to establish, negotiate, operationalize, and scale strategic banking relationships supporting cross-border payments from international markets into Africa.

The role will focus primarily on originating banking partnerships across the UK and continental Europe, developing receiving and settlement relationships across Africa, and building a strategic expansion pipeline across selected Asian markets.

The successful candidate will combine strong banking relationships, commercial negotiation skills, regulatory awareness, and the ability to convert signed partnerships into operational payment corridors and measurable revenue.

What You Will Do

Banking Partnership Development

  • Develop and execute a global banking partnership strategy aligned with Kredete's growth objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize banking institutions across the UK, EU/EEA, Africa, and selected Asian markets.
  • Establish senior-level relationships with decision-makers across banking, treasury, payments, correspondent banking, compliance, and executive leadership.
  • Maintain a qualified partnership pipeline with clear commercial opportunities, decision-makers, timelines, and expected outcomes.

Commercial Negotiation & Execution

  • Lead commercial discussions, business cases, pricing negotiations, and partnership agreements from initial engagement through execution.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Treasury, Product, and Engineering to ensure partnerships meet operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiate commercially sustainable terms, settlement arrangements, service-level agreements, and implementation commitments.
  • Coordinate banking due diligence, onboarding, and relevant compliance requirements.

Partnership Activation & Revenue Growth

  • Take ownership of banking partnerships beyond contract execution, ensuring successful integration, testing, launch, and operational stabilization.
  • Work with internal teams and banking partners to activate new payment corridors.
  • Monitor transaction volumes, revenue contribution, settlement performance, and partner retention.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing banking relationships and improve commercial performance.

Market Expansion & Strategic Intelligence

  • Monitor banking developments, regulatory considerations, and market opportunities across priority international corridors.
  • Assess new partnership opportunities based on commercial viability, market demand, and operational readiness.
  • Provide recommendations on market entry, banking infrastructure, and competitive positioning.
  • Support Kredete's broader international expansion strategy.

Executive Reporting & Accountability

  • Provide weekly partnership progress updates to the CEO.
  • Maintain a monthly pipeline and commercial performance dashboard.
  • Present quarterly partnership reviews covering activated relationships, revenue contribution, emerging opportunities, and execution risks.
  • Escalate material commercial, regulatory, and operational dependencies promptly.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in banking partnerships, correspondent banking, international payments, financial institutions, or fintech business development.
  • Demonstrated success originating, negotiating, and activating institutional banking partnerships.
  • Established professional relationships within the UK and European banking ecosystem; exposure to African or Asian financial markets is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of cross-border payments, banking infrastructure, settlement arrangements, and financial institution onboarding.
  • Working knowledge of AML/KYC, sanctions compliance, regulatory considerations, and payment-related risk management.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements and coordinating complex, cross-functional implementations.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and commercial analytical skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, internationally distributed organization.

Key Performance Indicators

Performance will be assessed against agreed objectives, including:

  • Banking Partnerships: Qualified opportunities progressed to executed agreements.
  • Corridor Activation: New banking relationships successfully integrated and operational.
  • Commercial Performance: Transaction volumes, revenue contribution, and sustainable partnership economics.
  • Execution Efficiency: Partnership conversion rates, onboarding timelines, and implementation milestones.
  • Partner Management: Relationship performance, retention, and expansion opportunities.

Specific targets will be established in alignment with company priorities, available resources, and applicable regulatory approvals.

The Global Banking Partnerships Manager will be expected to demonstrate measurable progress from relationship origination to signed agreements, operational activation, and sustainable commercial growth .
