What they need
Job Summary We are seeking an analytical, strategic, and highly proactive Banking Relationship Manager to join our corporate and commercial banking practice. In this critical professional role, you will be the core relationship and technical owner responsible for managing an established portfolio of corporate or premier client accounts, driving portfolio optimization strategies, evaluating credit risk frameworks, and delivering tailored structured loan and cash management solutions. Operating at the intersection of our backend credit underwriting squads, treasury teams, and senior corporate executives, you will translate complex business criteria into high-performance execution roadmaps. The ideal candidate will combine strong data-driven financial analysis with exceptional interpersonal maturity to maximize client account retention, achieve strict portfolio health targets, and support seamless working capital continuity for our regional partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management & Account Growth: Manage and grow a primary portfolio of corporate or high-net-worth commercial banking clients, aligning financial advisory tracks directly with client business objectives.
- Credit Structure Formulation & Due Diligence: Perform robust credit risk assessments, analyze multi-layered company financial statements, evaluate debtor parameters, and compile comprehensive credit application memos for management review.
- Commercial Advisory Delivery: Structure and present tailored enterprise banking products, including corporate trade finance facilities, working capital credit lines, treasury services, and capital asset financing models.
- Risk Auditing & Credit Review: Conduct rigorous and systematic periodic credit reviews, monitoring account performance metrics and tracking asset health parameters to proactively mitigate risk exposure.
- Cross-Functional Solution Alignment: Act as a central communication link between front-office relationship teams, internal legal compliance units, backend data engineering squads, and credit control committees.
- Statutory Compliance Coordination: Audit and ensure all client financial configurations, source-of-wealth records, and credit files strictly comply with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) frameworks and global AML/CFT standards.
- Data Governance Adherence: Enforce rigid compliance with enterprise information security protocols and absolute documentation parameters, ensuring all client registries and portfolio tracking files strictly comply with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) [Singapore].
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance, Corporate Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative professional discipline. Professional credentials (such as mandatory MAS modular certificates / CMFAS papers or CFA progress) are highly valued.
- Technical Proficiency: High competency in utilizing advanced Microsoft Office Suite applications (specifically Excel for intricate financial metrics analysis, cash-flow evaluation, and metrics tracking) alongside hands-on experience navigating enterprise CRM software, commercial underwriting systems, or portfolio tracking dashboards.
- Experience: Prior hands-on experience as a banking relationship manager, commercial loan officer, credit analyst, or corporate finance specialist—preferably within an established corporate, institutional, or premier wealth banking sector—is required.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; professional negotiation etiquette and an assertive, collaborative stakeholder engagement style to handle high-stakes corporate environment discussions with extreme diplomacy.
- Core Competencies: Outstanding structural logic, sharp numerical reasoning, high emotional intelligence under tight corporate reporting timelines, an eye for transaction details, and a resilient team-player mindset.
Pay: $5,100.00 - $6,900.00 per month
