About The Role Banksman Location: Sheffield About The Role We’re looking for a safety-focused Banksman to help manage vehicle movements at our Sheffield site.

As a Banksman, you’ll work closely with drivers, weighbridge operators and site teams to ensure vehicles move safely and efficiently around the yard. This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone who communicates clearly, stays alert and is confident working in a busy operational environment.

What You’ll Be Doing As a Banksman, you will:

• Safely control vehicle movements throughout the yard
• Give clear instructions and signals to drivers
• Communicate with weighbridge operators and operational teams
• Ensure first-time visitors complete the required site induction
• Monitor compliance with site operating times and traffic rules
• Report drivers who fail to follow movement instructions
• Ensure PPE requirements are followed
• Keep the yard clear of debris, obstacles and potential hazards
• Arrange cleaning support when required
• Assist other site teams when needed

About You You will:

• Have strong communication skills
• Be confident giving clear instructions to drivers
• Be safety-conscious and observant
• Work well as part of a team
• Be comfortable working independently
• Be prepared to work predominantly outdoors
• Ideally have experience in a yard, recycling, logistics or similar operational environment

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Banksman or someone with relevant site experience who wants to join a busy and supportive operational team.
