Banquet Bartender

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Banquet Bartender to elevate our guests’ experience during special events and large gatherings. In this role, you will craft and serve a wide variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring each guest receives exceptional service. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a diverse selection of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure a positive experience and address any special requests or dietary needs
• Manage bar inventory by restocking supplies, monitoring stock levels, and assisting with ordering when necessary
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with catering staff and event coordinators to ensure timely service during large functions or banquets
• Develop beverage recipes and suggest pairings to enhance guest satisfaction while promoting sales opportunities

Requirements

• Proven experience in bartending within fine dining, banquet, nightclub, or catering environments; banquet experience is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage recipe development
• Familiarity with POS systems like TOAST
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively through strong time management skills in a fast-paced setting
• Food handling certification and adherence to food safety standards required
• RBS or TiPS training
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and accurate order processing
• Previous experience working with beverage menus that include spirits expertise and cocktail creation is desirable
• Nightclub or large event experience is a plus; must be adaptable to varying event sizes and styles
