Position Summary

The banquet server provides polite, efficient food and beverage service during catered events, weddings, and corporate conferences. This role handles room setups, synchronized plated or buffet service, guest interactions, and post-event teardown.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup & Teardown: Arrange tables, linens, china, glassware, flatware, and centerpieces according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) diagram.
• Food & Beverage Service: Serve plated courses or manage buffet lines, pour beverages, and continuously refill water and coffee.
• Guest Relations: Greet attendees warmly, accommodate dietary restrictions and allergy requests safely, and clear plates between courses.
• Cleanliness: Maintain sanitation standards across service stations, bus tables efficiently, and pack up equipment after the event.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 6 months of catering, banquet, or restaurant serving experience preferred.
• Certifications: Valid local food handler card and state-approved alcohol server training (where applicable).
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts and lift/carry trays or equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Availability: Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Physical requirements:

· Flexible and long hours sometimes required.

· Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

· Ability to walk and/or stand during entire shift.
