Banquet Cook

BANQUET COOK – JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting quality food for banquets, weddings, meetings, and special events while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and consistent food quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Prepare ingredients and assist with large-volume food production.
• Ensure food is properly cooked, presented, and served on time.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage procedures.
• Keep kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and organized.
• Assist with inventory, food storage, and minimizing waste.
• Coordinate with the chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth banquet service.
• Set up and clean kitchen stations before and after events.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and sanitation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift kitchen supplies, and work in a hot, busy kitchen environment.

Reports To: Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Banquet Chef.

Experience:

• Kitchen: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• ServSafe (Preferred)
