• Coordinate all aspects of banquet events, including setup, service flow, and breakdown, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish
• Supervise banquet staff, providing training, guidance, and motivation to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of food presentation and safety
• Manage food preparation processes in collaboration with kitchen staff, ensuring quality control and timely delivery of dishes aligned with event schedules
• Oversee inventory control for banquet supplies, linens, and food items to prevent waste and optimize resource utilization
• Operate POS systems such as Toast POS and Tripleseat for order processing, billing, and cash handling with accuracy and integrity
• Enforce food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Conduct staff interviews, training sessions, and performance evaluations to develop a skilled and motivated hospitality team
• Monitor budget adherence, analyze profit and loss reports, and implement strategies to maximize revenue while controlling costs
• Collaborate with event planners or clients to customize menus and service styles that meet their expectations while maintaining operational efficiency
• Lead shift management duties by assigning tasks effectively, resolving guest concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience

Experience

• Proven management experience in food service or hotel environments, with banquet or catering backgrounds
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary standards, and kitchen operations
• Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Toast POS or Tripleseat for order processing and cash handling
• Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively in fast-paced casual dining or fine dining settings
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and procedures related to food handling and sanitation
• Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, profit/loss analysis, and cost management strategies
• Skilled in staff training, team leadership, interviewing candidates, and developing hospitality teams
• Familiarity with managing large-scale events or banquets from planning through execution is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as staff coordination, customer service interactions, and managerial reporting
