Banquet Server

Located in the South Side of Binghamton, Celebrations On Park is the latest event venue in Broome County. Our aim is to become the ultimate destination for all kinds of events and celebrations. With its upscale design, the newly built venue has a seating capacity of 200 guests and can accommodate up to 300 people for non-seated events. We are currently searching for a skilled and dedicated banquet server with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should be a team player who values professionalism and displays consideration towards colleagues. In this role, the Banquet Server will be responsible for warmly welcoming guests, guiding them to their seats, and ensuring they receive outstanding food and beverage service throughout the event. Additionally, the successful candidate will need to assist with event planning, setting up, cleaning up, and responding promptly to inquiries or special demands. To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, clear communication, and the ability to provide efficient service with elegance, etiquette, and speed.

Responsibilities of a Banquet Server involve:

• Welcoming guests upon their arrival and guiding them to their designated table or seat

• Providing assistance to guests by answering their queries, noting down their orders, communicating special requirements and instructions to the kitchen and bar, and serving food and beverages

• Roaming around with trays of appetizers and drinks to cater to the guests' needs

• Directing guests towards the amenities and services offered at the event

• Accompanying guests on a tour of the event space to ensure their comfort

• Collaborating with other team members to ensure guest satisfaction

• Adhering to safety and quality guidelines to ensure the security of guests and team members.

Requirements for Banquet Server Job:

• A high school diploma or GED

• Relevant experience as a server is preferred

• Must meet the state's minimum age requirement if serving alcohol

• Posses courteous and professional behavior with attentive approach towards guests

• Physically fit to meet the strenuous demands of the job such as standing for long periods, carrying heavy objects, and climbing stairs

• Exceptional customer service skills, superb communication, and interpersonal skills

• Capable of working within a team for ensuring guest satisfaction

• Follows given instructions carefully for each occasion

• Availability to work during early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays
