Banquet Server

Job Summary

We are hiring polished, reliable, and experienced Event Servers / Banquet Servers to join our growing hospitality team for upcoming events throughout New York City and the surrounding area, with a strong focus on Manhattan.

This is an event-based position for hospitality professionals who enjoy working in fast-paced, upscale environments. Team members may be assigned to weddings, corporate events, private parties, rooftop events, galas, catering events, hotels, banquet venues, and other special events.

We are looking for individuals who take hospitality seriously, communicate professionally, arrive prepared and on time, and can confidently step into different event environments while maintaining a high standard of service.

Assignments will vary based on event demand and your availability. You will be contacted for upcoming assignments as they become available.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional food and beverage service to guests
• Set up tables, dining areas, buffets, cocktail stations, and event spaces
• Serve plated meals, passed hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and other event items
• Carry and properly handle serving trays throughout service
• Clear plates, glassware, silverware, and other items efficiently
• Maintain clean and organized service areas throughout the event
• Follow instructions from event captains, banquet managers, catering managers, and venue leadership
• Assist with event setup and breakdown when required
• Reset tables and service areas during events
• Communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, and management
• Learn event-specific service procedures and floor plans during pre-shift briefings
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, grooming, and uniform standards
• Remain attentive to guest needs while maintaining professional service
• Support other team members to ensure smooth and efficient event execution

What We're Looking For

• Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, hotel, country club, wedding venue, or event service experience is preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working in fast-paced event environments
• Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Ability to safely carry trays, plates, and event equipment as required
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules
• Reliable transportation or the ability to consistently travel to assignments throughout New York City
• Comfortable receiving assignments at different venues and event locations
• Must arrive in the required uniform and be fully prepared for each assignment

Scheduling & Assignments

This is an event-based position, and schedules will vary depending on upcoming events and client needs. Staff will have the opportunity to provide their availability and accept assignments that fit their schedule.

Events may take place throughout New York City, including Manhattan, as well as select locations in the surrounding Tri-State area.

We are especially interested in candidates with evening and weekend availability and those who can reliably travel throughout Manhattan.

Training & Onboarding

Selected candidates will complete our interview and training process before becoming eligible for assignments. Training is designed to make sure every team member understands our service expectations, event procedures, uniform standards, guest interaction, and professional conduct.

Candidates who successfully complete training will move forward with the remaining onboarding requirements and become eligible for upcoming event assignments.
