In New Orleans, a banquet is rarely just dinner. It could be a wedding reception, corporate conference, private celebration, gala, or one of the many special events that bring people together across the city.

If you’re outgoing, quick on your feet, and enjoy the energy of a full room, this is a role where every shift brings something different. As a Banquet Server, you’ll join a lively events team across weddings, corporate dinners, galas, and private celebrations, meeting new people, keeping the atmosphere upbeat, and helping each occasion run beautifully.

$18.50–$22.50 per hour | Full-time & part-time available
Flexible event shifts | Onsite at New Orleans venues | Training provided

Your shift, from first table to final toast

Before guests arrive

• Set tables, glassware, linens, and place settings.
• Prepare beverage stations and service areas.
• Review the menu, event schedule, and assigned tables.
• Complete a team briefing with the banquet captain.

While the room is full

• Welcome guests and provide attentive food and beverage service.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, receptions, and refreshment breaks.
• Refill drinks, clear used items, and respond to guest requests.
• Communicate dietary questions or service concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Work with other servers to keep service timely and organized.

After the final course

• Clear tables and reset event spaces.
• Return equipment and supplies to the correct areas.
• Help leave the venue clean, organized, and ready for the next event.

Previous banquet or restaurant experience is welcome, but it isn’t essential. We’re looking for people who:

• Stay composed when an event becomes busy.
• Follow instructions and notice the small details.
• Arrive on time and ready for the assigned shift.
• Are comfortable standing, walking, and carrying service items throughout an event.
