The Townsville Yacht Club is one of Townsville's best waterfront dining and hospitality venues, offering stunning marina views, a relaxed atmosphere and a strong reputation for quality food, drinks and friendly service.

We are a member based Club with a diverse membership and community, and our team is at the heart of the experience we provide.

We trade Wednesday to Sunday, with a restaurant, bar and function spaces.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Bar & Restaurant Supervisor to join our team on a full time basis.

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will help lead and support our bar and restaurant team, ensuring excellent service and a welcoming experience for every member and guest.

This is a hands on leadership role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working alongside their team and leading by example.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and supporting the bar and restaurant team
• Delivering exceptional customer service
• Training and developing team members
• Building strong product and Club knowledge
• Welcoming patrons and managing daily reservations
• Assisting with all areas of service, including taking orders, running food and drinks and assisting the pass
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene and safety
• Opening and closing the restaurant and bar
• Processing cash and EFTPOS transactions
• Supporting functions and Club events when required
• Helping create a positive and enjoyable workplace for the team

About you

We are looking for someone with energy, personality and a genuine passion for hospitality.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Hospitality Team Member
• A positive, enthusiastic and professional approach
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The ability to lead, motivate and support a diverse team
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Excellent presentation and attention to detail
• The ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods
• A genuine enjoyment of working with people
• Current QLD RSA Certificate
• Food Handlers Certificate
• Flexibility to work weekends and some split shifts
