Bar Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic FULL TIME ONLY Bar Manager to lead our bar operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this role, you will oversee daily bar activities, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage a talented team of bartenders and staff. Your leadership will drive the success of our hospitality environment, maintaining high standards for food and beverage quality, safety, and cleanliness. Duties

• Supervise all bar operations, including food preparation, drink service, and customer interactions to ensure a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to foster a motivated and efficient team.
• Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.
• Enforce food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations.
• Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure seamless service during peak hours and special events like banquets or catering functions.
• Conduct shift management duties including opening/closing procedures, ensuring cleanliness, safety protocols, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze profit and loss reports to optimize revenue streams while controlling costs effectively.
• Lead staff training initiatives focused on customer service excellence, food preparation techniques, and hospitality management skills.
• Maintain a vibrant environment by supervising serving activities, ensuring quick service in fast-paced settings while upholding fine dining standards when applicable.

Experience

• Proven experience managing hospitality teams in casual dining or fine dining environments with a focus on food service management.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in restaurant or bar settings with strong team leadership capabilities.
• Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and beverage service including bar experience.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and inventory control.
• Experience in managing kitchen operations alongside front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices aligned with industry standards; certification is a plus.
• Prior experience handling cash transactions accurately while managing shift responsibilities efficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for budgeting, cost control, and profit analysis.
• Strong managerial communication skills with an emphasis on training & development, team supervision, and conflict resolution.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
