Bar Manager

Bernard's Tavern is looking for an experienced, hands-on Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Front of House and Back of House teams. We're seeking a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while building a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily FOH and BOH operations
• Lead, coach, and develop staff
• Create employee schedules and manage labor costs
• Oversee bar operations, inventory, and ordering
• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and liquor law compliance
• Monitor inventory, cash handling, and operational performance
• Hire, train, and hold team members accountable to company standards

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant or bar management experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with scheduling, inventory, and labor management
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Nights, weekends, and holiday availability required
• ServSafe and alcohol certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
