Bar Manager

Job Summary
The Shed is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to oversee daily beverage operations, lead the bar team, and maintain high standards for service, inventory, and guest satisfaction. This position is suited for a hospitality professional who can balance hands-on floor leadership with administrative and operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations and maintain efficient service throughout each shift.
• Lead, train, schedule, and support bartenders and bar support staff.
• Monitor beverage inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, and product rotation.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels while controlling waste and operating costs.
• Ensure cocktails and other beverages meet quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor cash handling, POS transactions, and daily bar procedures.
• Address guest concerns and resolve service issues professionally.
• Coordinate with kitchen, servers, and management to support smooth restaurant operations.
• Maintain compliance with Idaho alcohol-service, sanitation, and workplace-safety requirements.
• Assist with hiring, performance coaching, staff development, and team communication.
• Review bar performance and help implement improvements to service and profitability.

Qualifications

• Previous bar management or supervisory experience required.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and beverage operations.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a hospitality team.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable managing inventory, labor, and operating procedures.
• Able to remain professional and decisive in a high-volume environment.
• Strong customer-service mindset and attention to detail.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet applicable Idaho requirements for alcohol service.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
