Bar Manager

The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing daily bar operations, supervising bartenders and bar staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves managing beverage inventory, controlling operating costs, coordinating staff schedules, and maintaining high standards of beverage quality, cleanliness, and responsible alcohol service. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills and the ability to create a welcoming and professional bar environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily bar operations and ensure smooth beverage service.
• Supervise, train, and motivate bartenders and bar staff.
• Prepare staff schedules and coordinate shift assignments.
• Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Ensure guests receive friendly, professional, and attentive service.
• Handle customer questions, feedback, and complaints effectively.
• Manage beverage inventory, stock levels, and supply orders.
• Monitor beverage costs and implement waste-reduction procedures.
• Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and payment processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar, glassware, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol-service practices and applicable regulations.
• Verify customer identification and age when legally required.
• Coordinate with restaurant servers, kitchen staff, and management.
• Train employees on beverage preparation, service standards, and company procedures.
• Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Oversee bar opening, closing, restocking, and shift handover procedures.
• Support beverage promotions, special events, and sales initiatives.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report operational issues.
• Ensure bar equipment is maintained and service areas remain organized.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in bartending or bar management.
• Supervisory or team-management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and beverage preparation.
• Excellent leadership and staff-management abilities.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Experience with beverage inventory and cost control.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable regulations.
• Understanding of bar sanitation and equipment maintenance.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
