Adel Tap is an independent neighbourhood bar serving craft beers and wines. We’re looking for a reliable, organised and personable Bar Manager to take responsibility for the day to day running of the bar.

This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys being behind the bar, makes customers feel welcome and keeps things running smoothly. You’ll have the opportunity to bring ideas, build relationships with our regulars and help shape the Adel Tap experience with the business owner.

What you’ll be doing

• Serving drinks and providing friendly, attentive customer service.
• Managing, training and supporting a small team of bar staff leading by example.
• Organising staff rotas and making sure shifts are properly covered.
• Ordering drinks and supplies, keeping stock at sensible levels.
• Carrying out stocktakes and monitoring wastage.
• Cleaning beer lines and maintaining the quality of our drinks.
• Keeping the bar clean, well organised and ready for service.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be dependable, comfortable taking responsibility and good at getting things done. You’ll enjoy working with people, stay calm during busy periods and understand that the small details make a big difference.

Previous bar experience is essential for the role. Experience supervising a team or managing a bar would be an advantage. An interest in craft beer and wine is welcome too.

The role

• Pay: £30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience. Pension + Free staff parking
• Hours: 40 Hours per week.
• Includes evening and weekend working.
• Based at Adel Tap, Otley Road, Adel, Leeds, LS16 7NR.
