Bar Operations Manager / Lead Bartender

We are an existing restaurant adding a new cocktail lounge, seeking a lead bartender and manager for the new space (adjoined to existing). This is an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals looking to have a significant role in operational decisions.

Responsibilities are split into two pay categories:

Administrative Work

Administrative duties are completed outside normal operating hours:

• $27-$30/hr based on experience
• Manage bar inventory and ordering
• Front of House scheduling
• Private event coordination and reservations
• Develop cocktail menus and specials
• Working directly with the owner to improve daily operations and guest experience
• This position is not responsible for payroll, bookkeeping, bill payment, or business accounting.

Bartending (During Operating Hours)

• $16/hr plus tips
• Preparing and serving beer, wine, cocktails, and nonalcoholic beverages
• Providing knowledgeable and professional guest service
• Maintaining an organized, clean, and properly stocked bar
• Completing opening and closing responsibilities
• Supporting and mentoring less-experienced staff
• Helping maintain consistent service and drink-quality standards

Required Experience

• At least five years of industry experience
• Strong cocktail preparation and beverage knowledge
• Experience with inventory, ordering, scheduling, or shift leadership
• Current TIPS or other New York ATAP-approved alcohol-training certification
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate directly with ownership
• At least two professional references

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
