Join our dynamic team as an Armed Bar Security Officer and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our patrons, staff, and premises. This energetic position involves maintaining a safe environment through vigilant surveillance, effective conflict management, and adherence to security protocols. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming yet secure atmosphere where guests can enjoy their experience with confidence.

Duties

• Control access to the venue by performing background checks and verifying identification to ensure compliance with legal requirements
• Respond promptly to incidents, including conflicts or disturbances, utilizing conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills
• Conduct thorough incident report writing to document any security breaches or noteworthy events accurately and clearly
• Operate access control systems to regulate entry and exit points, ensuring only authorized individuals gain access
• Perform emergency response procedures such as CPR, AED operation, and first aid when needed to assist injured or distressed patrons or staff
• Manage heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when required for equipment or supplies movement while maintaining physical security standards

Experience

• Prior experience in security roles within hospitality, military, law enforcement, or related fields is highly desirable
• Demonstrated knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and security technology such as access control systems
• Training in first aid, CPR, AED use or able to get certification
• Proven ability to handle conflict de-escalation effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure
• Familiarity with security regulations, compliance standards, and incident report writing practices is essential
• Physical fitness for patrolling extensive areas and performing heavy lifting tasks as necessary
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with diverse individuals

Pay: $20.50 - $21.50 per hour
