Bar Server

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar / Server to join our small team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to guests in a lively bar & grill environment, ensuring a memorable experience. Experience in fine dining, food handling, and customer service is highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant setting where hospitality and attentiveness are key.

Duties

• Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival
• Take and serve drink orders accurately, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on drinks and menu items to enhance guest experience
• Handle cash transactions or POS systems efficiently and accurately
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist with banquet or event service when required, supporting catering functions

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred, especially in a bar / fast passed restaurant
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of food handling, food safety protocols, and dietary considerations
• Barista or bartending experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with drink preparation and serving techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
• Previous experience with food preparation or catering is advantageous
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or special events as needed
• 21+ only at this time
• Ability to run the bar and dining room by yourself on slower nights
• Ability to run the bar and cook as needed - pay difference for anytime you are without a cook
• Can NOT drink while clocked in ******
• 1099 position - NOT W2
