Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist them in selecting beverages and food options, providing expert recommendations on wines, spirits, and cocktails.
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with precision, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process sales transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Upsell menu items by highlighting specials and pairing suggestions to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly, process payments smoothly, and give accurate change using POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software.
• Support food service operations by bussing tables, assisting with food handling and preparation when needed, ensuring a seamless guest experience from start to finish.

Experience

• Previous experience working in food service or hospitality environments, particularly in bars or restaurants with fine dining or nightclub settings.
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail mixing techniques, and food industry standards.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales processing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality customer service.
• Experience with food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on creating welcoming atmospheres through attentive service and clear communication.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities confidently.
