Bar Service Manager

Job Summary

District House of Taps is hiring a Bar Service Manager to oversee daily bar service operations, lead bar staff, and maintain high standards for beverage quality, guest service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. This role supports scheduling, inventory management, staff development, customer service, and overall bar performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar service and beverage operations
• Supervise, train, coach, and support bartenders and bar service staff
• Coordinate staff schedules, shift assignments, and service workflow
• Maintain high standards for beverage quality, presentation, and customer service
• Monitor bar service during busy periods and adjust staffing or workflow as needed
• Respond to guest questions, requests, and service concerns professionally
• Manage beverage, bar supply, glassware, and service inventory
• Coordinate ordering, receiving, stock rotation, and inventory control
• Monitor cash-handling, POS, and transaction procedures
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked bar and service areas
• Ensure employees follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist with employee onboarding, training, and performance development
• Maintain accurate inventory, shift, and operational records
• Coordinate with kitchen and restaurant management to support smooth service
• Perform additional bar management and operational duties assigned by leadership

Requirements

• Previous bar, restaurant, hospitality, or beverage service experience
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of beverage service, bar operations, and sanitation procedures
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer, POS, scheduling, and inventory skills
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing bar or beverage service operations
• Strong staff scheduling and team coordination abilities
• Knowledge of beverage inventory and cost-control procedures
• Familiarity with POS and bar management systems
