Due to our rural location, applicants must have a full driving licence and their own reliable vehicle, or have another reliable means of getting to and from work.

The role includes late evening finishes, weekends and occasional shifts where public transport may not be available, so applicants must be able to reliably travel to and from the pub for every scheduled shift.

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Front of House / Bar Team Member to join our team at The Pebley Inn, a busy country pub serving great food and drinks in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing great customer service and can work well as part of a small team.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, professional service
• Taking food and drink orders
• Serving drinks, including draught beer, spirits, wine and soft drinks
• Delivering food and drinks to tables
• Operating the till and handling payments accurately
• Keeping the bar, restaurant and customer areas clean and well presented
• Preparing and closing down the bar and front-of-house areas
• Restocking drinks and other supplies
• Following opening, closing and cleaning procedures
• Working as part of the team to ensure the pub runs smoothly
• Helping create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers
• Following company procedures relating to cleanliness, hygiene, health & safety and customer service

• Friendly, approachable and confident with customers
• Reliable and punctual
• Hardworking and willing to get stuck in
• Able to work independently as well as part of a small team
• Comfortable working in a busy pub environment
• Presentable and professional
• Able to remain calm and helpful during busy periods
• A good communicator with a positive attitude
• Previous pub, bar or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential – full training can be provided for the right person

Working Hours

The role will include a mixture of:

• Weekday and weekend shifts
• Daytime and evening shifts
• Bank holidays and busy periods where required

Flexibility is important, as hospitality hours can vary depending on business requirements and events.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
