Bar Staff

Job Summary

The Albany is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable bar staff member to join our team. With a busy restaurant, theatre and function suite, we offer a varied working environment where great service and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

You’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, whether they’re enjoying a quiet drink, attending a show or celebrating a special occasion.

Duties

You will prepare and serve drinks, take orders, process payments and provide friendly, efficient customer service. You’ll also keep the bar clean, tidy and well stocked, collect glasses and support the wider team during busy service periods and events.

The role involves following responsible alcohol service procedures, checking identification when required and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Skills and Experience

We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved. You should be comfortable working in a busy environment, able to stay organised under pressure and committed to making every guest feel welcome.

Previous bar or hospitality experience is desirable, and cocktail knowledge would be an advantage. Reliability, good timekeeping and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 20.0 per week
